Supervisor - Measurement

SUPERVISOR - MEASUREMENT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary purpose:
Responsible for supervising the processing and reporting of measurement data for Tallgrass Energy pipelines.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Directly supervise field Measurement personnel within an assigned district.
Set work schedules and delegate assignments for Measurement team.
Coordinate training efforts for designated personnel.
Monitor the progress of daily data processing to meet timelines.
Ensure accurate and timely closing of measurement data each month.
Provide support in the reconciliation of asset L&U.
Respond to requests from internal and external customers for measurement data information.
Assist in the design and support of changes and enhancements to measurement systems.
Lead testing initiatives on measurement system changes/enhancements.
Work with the Technical Services Manager and team to resolve complex measurement data problems.
Conduct performance evaluations of direct reports.
Develop short- and long-range plans, goals and objectives for the Measurement team.

Organize work for timely completion.
Complete all applicable documentation and record keeping.
Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, regulatory, and Company tariff requirements.
Respond to emergency situations at any hour of the day or night. This includes and may not be limited to being in possession of required equipment and tools, designated forms, policies, regulations and manuals.
Foster a positive open work environment, systems approaches and disciplined execution of all assigned tasks.
Manage personnel related matters, including providing performance based feedback, providing support and completing administrative paperwork as needed.
Demonstrate and enforce the highest professional integrity, ethics and safety discipline.
Demonstrate and reinforce a culture of regulatory compliance.
Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism.
Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.

SUPERVISOR - MEASUREMENT JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements:
Education:
Technical College degree from an accredited institution in Engineering or a related discipline.
A minimum of five (5) years direct work experience in gas pipeline system measurement operations, including prior supervisory may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
A minimum five (5) years working experience with measurement operations of gas pipeline systems.
A minimum of five (5) years with people and project coordination.
Knowledge and experience in operation of pipeline, measurement, compression and all related equipment.
Knowledge and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high and low pressure systems.
Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
Competencies, Skills & Abilities:
Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage crews at multiple locations and multiple tasks on a daily basis.
Solid communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead towards operational excellence.
Strong customer focus in dealing with engineering, field operations and other internal and external groups.
Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job.
Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.
Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets; position will be filled depending on qualifications, experience and skill sets of the successful candidate.

Living environs may be negotiable and will be relevant to the work location.
Frequent overnight travel may be required.
Required to carry a cell phone, and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
The successful candidate will be required to clear a drug screen and a complete background check, including credit report for certain positions, after an offer has been extended and prior to being employed.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
